Quick Answer

NitroShock builds a complete, editable WordPress site from a short questionnaire - or rebuilds your existing one. Review the plain-language brief, click Build, and the AI generates your header, footer, menu, and every page as standard WordPress pages you can edit.

NitroShock's Site Builder turns a short questionnaire into a complete, editable WordPress site. Answer a few questions about your business - or paste your existing site's address to rebuild it - and NitroShock drafts a plain-language brief you can edit. When you click Build, the AI writes your header, footer, navigation menu, home page, and every content page, publishing them as standard WordPress pages you can edit afterward in WordPress or the page builder.

What You Need

Three things are involved in a full AI build:

The NitroShock theme - active on your site. On its own it renders your pages, header, and footer; the AI builder lives in the Build My Site screen it adds.

The NitroShock Page Builder plugin - required for AI drafting and one-click building. Without it the wizard still creates an editable brief, but it cannot generate content. Install and activate it to enable the AI features.

A NitroShock API key - connects your site to the AI engine. Generation is billed against your credit balance. Enter your key in the wizard; you can change it later. Get or manage your key at nitroshock.ai/dashboard.

How It Works

A build happens in three stages. First, a wizard collects your answers. Second, those answers become a Site Brief - plain-language notes for the whole site and for each page, which you can edit freely. Third, the build turns the brief into a live site: the AI generates the header, footer, menu, front page, and each page in the background while you watch progress.

Starting a Build

Go to NitroShock → Build My Site in your WordPress admin. If you don't have a brief yet, the setup wizard opens and asks for:

  • Your site or business name
  • The site type - Business, Blog, Portfolio, Shop, or Other
  • The site's main purpose and what a visitor should be able to do
  • Your target audience
  • Your service area, if you're a local business (optional)
  • Target keywords - most useful for business and local sites (optional)
  • Which pages to build - pick from presets such as Home, About, Services, Gallery, Pricing, FAQ, and Contact, and add your own
  • An overall style - Modern, Minimal, Classic, or Bold
  • Your brand colors - primary, secondary, and accent
  • Social links (optional)
  • Your NitroShock API key

Building from scratch vs. rebuilding an existing site. In rebuild mode, paste your current website address and NitroShock discovers its pages and menu for you - up to 20 pages. Tick the ones you want to rebuild. Original page addresses and menu structure are preserved, so existing links keep working. You can also paste your existing header and footer code to reuse them instead of having the AI design new ones.

Reviewing & Editing the Brief

Finishing the wizard creates a Site Brief and a draft page for each selected page, then drops you into the build console. From here you can:

  • Edit the master brief - a plain-text description of the whole site.
  • Edit each page's brief and set its page type, which guides how that page is built.
  • Add instructions for the AI on any page, header, or footer - for example, "lead with a booking call-to-action."

Briefs are just text. Edit, save, and rebuild as often as you like.

Building Your Site

Click Build to generate everything, or build a single page, the header, or the footer on its own. Builds run in the background, so you can leave the screen - progress updates live, and you can Stop a run at any time.

A full build produces:

  • An AI-designed header and footer
  • A primary navigation menu matching your pages, including dropdowns when rebuilding
  • Your home page set as the site's front page
  • Every selected page, published with an SEO title and description

Everything is created as standard WordPress pages, so you can edit them in WordPress or the page builder afterward.

Your site uses one of two design modes:

Framework - NitroShock's built-in design system styles the site from your brand colors. This is the default for a fresh AI build.

Imported - you brought your own complete design by pasting code or uploading a .zip. Your stylesheet is the only styling, and importing chrome switches the site to this mode automatically.

Edit the header and footer code directly under NitroShock → Header & Footer, or open each in the page builder for visual editing. To bring in an existing design, use Build My Site to paste code or upload a .zip of the site.

Credits & Billing

AI generation is billed against your NitroShock credit balance. Generating or modifying a header or footer typically costs around 8-20 credits; page generation varies with the number and size of sections. The builder shows your balance before a run and the remaining balance afterward. Credits are shared across all NitroShock plugins. If you run out, top up at nitroshock.ai/dashboard and rebuild.

Troubleshooting

AI options are missing or disabled. The NitroShock Page Builder plugin isn't active. Install and activate it to enable drafting and building.

"You have no credits left." Top up at nitroshock.ai/dashboard, then rebuild.

Images show as placeholders. The AI inserts a placeholder where it has no real image. Edit the page and replace it with your own from the Media Library.

AI buttons are off in "imported" mode. Regenerating would overwrite your imported stylesheet. Edit the code directly, or rebuild from Build My Site to return to framework mode.

A build seems stuck. Builds run on WordPress cron. If your host blocks it, reload the console to refresh status, or Stop and start the build again.

FAQ

Do I need the Page Builder plugin?
The theme works on its own with standard templates, and the wizard will still save an editable brief. AI drafting and one-click building require the NitroShock Page Builder plugin.

Can I rebuild my existing website?
Yes. Paste your current address in the wizard and NitroShock finds your pages and menu - up to 20 pages - so you can choose what to rebuild.

Will rebuilding keep my page URLs?
Yes. Discovered pages keep their original slugs and menu hierarchy, so existing links and structure are preserved.

What if I don't like a page the AI made?
Edit that page's brief, add an instruction for the AI, and rebuild just that page - or edit the published page directly in WordPress.

Are the generated pages really editable?
Yes. Every page is a normal, published WordPress page you can edit in the block editor or the page builder.

Can I use my own header and footer?
Yes. Paste their code or upload a .zip in Build My Site, or edit them directly under NitroShock → Header & Footer.
