NitroImg now describes your images and writes the alt text for you - on demand from the conversion panel, or automatically the moment a new image hits your media library. Filename-style titles get cleaned up at the same time.

One-Click Alt Text

Generate descriptive alt text for any JPEG or PNG straight from the conversion panel. The result is written back to both the media library and the live image tag in your content.

Clean Titles, Automatically

Filename-style titles like my-photo or IMG_4872 are replaced with a readable title whenever alt text is generated. Titles you wrote by hand are left alone.

Automatic on Upload

A new setting writes alt text and a clean title for every new JPEG or PNG upload - independent from WebP conversion, and skipped when an image already has real alt text. Uploads are never blocked.

Finds What Others Miss

The reworked scanner matches page-builder images inserted without a wp-image class, maps already-converted .webp URLs back to their original attachment, and treats camera-style alt values like IMG_3801 as placeholders to replace - not real alt text.

Workflow

Two clicks from your posts list

Install and add your license key

Upload the plugin, activate it, and enter your NitroShock license key under Settings → NitroImg. Adjust WebP quality if you want (default 82 is optimal).

Go to Posts or Pages

You'll see a new "Convert Images" row action on every post, and a WebP status column. Use bulk actions to select multiple posts at once.

Preview and select

The conversion modal shows every image on those pages with thumbnails, file sizes, and the total credit cost. Uncheck anything you want to skip.

Convert and watch

Hit Convert. The progress bar shows per-image status and byte savings in real time. URLs in post content are swapped automatically.

Done - or roll back

All images now serve as WebP with srcset support. Changed your mind? One-click rollback per image restores the original.
