Cookies We Set

When you dismiss the cookie notice, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the name ns_cookie_consent so the notice does not reappear. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to our servers, and it contains nothing but the date you dismissed the notice.

Third-Party Cookies

One third party can set cookies on this site, and only on the pages where its payment form loads:

• Stripe: when the checkout form is on the page, Stripe sets __stripe_mid (1 year) and __stripe_sid (30 minutes) to detect payment fraud. These are required to take a payment securely and are covered by Stripe's privacy policy.

Some other services your browser contacts when a page loads, such as the font and library hosts named on our subprocessors page, do not set cookies but do see your IP address and browser type as part of serving the file.

If we add a cookie, or add a service that sets one, we update this page and the date at the top of it before the change goes live. Where a change affects your rights, we tell account holders by email.
