Search Console Intelligence connects your project to Google Search Console and turns your real click and impression history into a monitored signal inbox: it learns what normal performance looks like for your site, then flags the queries and pages that are decaying, underperforming their expected click-through, or caught in a visibility drop - with an action attached to each.
Connecting Search Console
- Open your project's Settings and find the Integrations card.
- Click connect for Google Search Console and sign in with the Google account that has access to your property.
- Pick the property that matches your project's domain.
- Choose your privacy preferences (see below), and you're done.
NitroShock then backfills up to 16 months of Search Console history and keeps it synced automatically every few minutes thereafter. Connection, sync, and analysis are free - they spend no credits.
The Intelligence Page
Once data is in, your project gains an Intelligence page with two layers:
Overview. The headline story of your search performance: year-over-year and month-over-month tiles with an attribution sentence (was the change demand, ranking, or SERP environment?), a 16-month chart with anomaly periods shaded, your biggest year-over-year winners and losers, country and device segments, and your brand-vs-non-brand trajectory.
Signal inbox. A curated list of the most severe findings from the daily analysis run - capped so it reads as a work queue, with the remainder auto-archived. Each signal carries a severity calibrated to your project's own scale (a "big" loss on your site, not someone else's) and a decomposition bar showing why the metric moved.
What the Signals Mean
- Decay - a query or page in sustained decline, attributed to falling demand, falling rankings, or a changing SERP environment (AI Overviews and features absorbing clicks).
- CTR gap - you rank well but earn fewer clicks than expected for that position, based on a baseline built from your own site's data. Usually a title/snippet problem.
- Visibility drop - a detected episode where clicks fell abnormally across a period, with an estimate of the clicks lost.
- Wins - pages outperforming their expected click-through, shown separately so you can learn from them without them crowding out problems.
Acting on a Signal
Signals resolve into actions without leaving the inbox:
- Generate title / description - AI-written replacements for CTR-gap pages (1 credit, charged only on success).
- Push to Rank Tracker - start tracking the affected query.
- Send to Content Writer - opens the Content Writer with a brief pre-filled from the signal.
- Site Audit link - jump to technical checks for the affected page.
Triage the rest: mark signals as handled or dismissed, and the daily run won't re-fire what you've already addressed.
Reporting
A Search Intelligence report type renders the overview and your signals as a branded PDF, following your project's branding like every other report. Query-level redaction is available for reports shared outside the team.
Privacy and Control
Your Search Console data stays under your control: privacy settings at connect time govern what's stored and shown, you can export everything as CSV or JSON, and disconnecting offers a full purge that removes the stored history and revokes NitroShock's Google access.

What does it cost?
Connecting, syncing, the Overview, and the signal engine are free. Credits are spent only on the optional AI actions, like title/description generation at 1 credit.
Why do my totals differ slightly from Search Console's UI?
Google anonymizes a share of queries and restates recent days; NitroShock resyncs recent windows to pick up restatements, and the Overview notes the anonymized share.
How far back does the data go?
Up to 16 months, backfilled automatically after connecting - Google's own retention limit.
Does it need my Google password?
No. It uses Google's OAuth consent flow with read-only Search Console scope, and you can revoke access at any time from either side.
