Installing & Connecting NitroShock Page Builder

Download the Page Builder zip from nitroshock.ai/plugins/downloads, upload it under Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, then connect it under NitroShock, Credits & Settings with your NitroShock email and the API key from your dashboard Settings tab.

NitroShock Page Builder is a WordPress plugin you download from nitroshock.ai and upload to your site, then connect to your NitroShock account with your email address and API key. It is not listed in the WordPress plugin directory, so searching for it under Add New Plugin will not find it.

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.8 or higher
  • PHP 7.4 or higher
  • A NitroShock account. Signing up at nitroshock.ai is free and needs no card, and new accounts include free credits to try the AI features.

Step 1: Download and Install

  1. Download the Page Builder zip from the plugin downloads page. Keep it zipped.
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin and click Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the zip, click Install Now, then Activate.

A NitroShock menu appears in the admin sidebar with these screens: Component Library (where the menu itself opens), Component Studio, Credits & Settings, Brand Settings, Site Profile, SVG Manager, and Header, Footer & CSS. If you also use the NitroShock Site Builder theme, its own screens (Theme Settings, Build My Site and Site Briefs) appear in the same menu.

After this first install, new versions show up on your Plugins screen like any other plugin update.

Step 2: Copy Your API Key

  1. Log in at nitroshock.ai/dashboard.
  2. Open the Settings tab and find API Access.
  3. Copy Your API Key. It starts with NS-.

Step 3: Connect the Plugin

  1. In WordPress, go to NitroShock → Credits & Settings.
  2. Under Connect Your NitroShock Account, enter the Email Address you use for NitroShock and paste your API Key.
  3. Click Save. Test Connection checks the details without leaving the page.

Once connected, the screen shows your credit balance with Buy More Credits and Refresh Balance buttons, and an Account Information panel with the status Connected, your email and a masked API key. From there, Open Dashboard and Manage Billing take you to your nitroshock.ai account, and Disconnect removes the connection from this site.

The balance updates when the screen loads, after anything that spends credits, and when you click Refresh Balance. The plugin does not check it in the background while you work.

Step 4 (Optional): Fill In the Site Profile

NitroShock → Site Profile holds your Company Name, Website Purpose (for example, "a plumbing company serving the Seattle area") and Location (country, state or region, and city). Click Save Profile when you are done.

Modernize, Merge Pages and Beat Competitor use the profile so the pages they produce represent your business. Your location also sets the search market for keyword suggestions, Analyze Top 10 and the People Also Ask questions behind FAQ sections. Create New Content deliberately leaves your company name out, so informational articles read as editorial content rather than advertising, and Rephrase Existing does not use the profile.

Checking the Install

  • NitroShock → Component Studio opens the component editor.
  • NitroShock → Component Library shows the library grid.
  • Open a page or post in the WordPress editor. A NitroShock Page Builder box appears in the editor's right-hand sidebar (on posts, for editors and administrators).

FAQ

Why can't I find the plugin under Add New Plugin?

It is not in the WordPress plugin directory. Download the zip from the downloads page and use Upload Plugin.

Test Connection fails. What should I check?

Make sure the email matches your NitroShock account and the API key was copied in full, with no spaces at either end. Some managed hosts block outgoing requests from WordPress; if yours does, ask them to allow connections to nitroshock.ai.

Can I use the plugin without connecting it?

Yes, for hand editing: you can write and edit HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the page editor and the Component Studio without an account. The AI features need a connected account with credits.

Is my AI provider key stored on my site?

No. All AI requests go through the NitroShock service, so the only key on your site is your NitroShock API key.
