Page Builder v0.8.0 - Content Section

The Section element becomes the Content Section: it is built from your own site's section and container classes, ships empty, and carries a width switch.

Content Section

  • Sections that match your site - on an imported site the Content Section is built from the section and container classes your own pages already use, learned from the site's markup. A section you drop in lines up with every other section on the page instead of sitting in a builder-styled box beside them. Sites with nothing to learn from keep the previous behaviour.
  • Ships empty - the element used to arrive holding placeholder text, which published as real content whenever nobody replaced it. It is now empty, with a hint shown only in the editor.
  • Width switch - the section toolbar offers Site, Reading and Full. Reading is a narrower column for long text. It also works on sections your site already had, not only on new ones.
  • A place for generated content to land - an empty Content Section at the end of the page is where "Add to End" content from the AI arrives, so you can drop a section, generate, and have the article appear inside it with no CSS to write.

Clearer costs

  • Estimates are labelled as estimates - cost figures in the AI panels now read as estimates, and the confirmation prompt says the run is billed by actual use.
  • No surcharges that were never charged - Modernize listed a surcharge per option and Merge listed one per extra page. Neither was ever billed. Those options shape the result, they do not change the price, and the interface now says so.

Admin interface

  • Emoji removed - headings, buttons, notices and error messages across the admin screens no longer use emoji.
  • A more useful credits message - running out of credits now tells you where to top up instead of telling you to recharge.

Fixes

  • Component categories stay put - opening a saved component in the Component Studio could show the wrong category, and saving it again wrote that wrong category back, so a component quietly moved to General Components. The Studio now reads the category the sidebar actually files it under.
  • Login code email - the expiry line no longer begins with a stray character.
  • Removed a dead control - the Component Studio preview theme dropdown was hidden and did nothing. It is gone.
