NitroEcho v1.2.0 - Scan Drafts Before You Publish

September 19, 2026
v1.2.0

A scan can now cover drafts, private and scheduled content as well as published pages, so you can check new writing against what is already on the site before it goes live.

Choose what a scan covers

  • Unpublished content - the pre-scan form has a content status row. Alongside published posts and pages you can include drafts, pending review, private and scheduled content. Useful for checking a draft against everything already on the site before you publish it.
  • A per-scan choice - the statuses you tick apply to that scan only and are not saved as a setting, so the next scan starts from published-only again.
  • A live estimate - the page count and the cost update as you tick post types and statuses. The estimate used to be fixed at published posts and pages, whatever you actually selected.

Results

  • Unpublished matches are marked - a match involving a draft, private or scheduled page carries a small tag, so it is clear that one side of the pair is not visible to readers yet.
  • Each scan records what it covered - the results header lists the statuses that scan included. Scans run before this release are shown as published-only, which is what they were.

Fixes

  • Database changes apply on update - WordPress does not run a plugin's activation step when it updates a plugin, so a database column added by a new version could be missing until the plugin was deactivated and activated again. Updates now apply pending changes themselves.
  • Scans are identifiable in your billing history - the site name and address are sent with each charge, so a scan run from one of several sites is no longer an unlabelled line.
